Job Description

If you are organized, productive, and like to help people this may be the position you have been looking for. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate events and workshops for faculty and students.
  • Provide regular administrative and office support.
  • Assist in the recruitment of new Faculty including, travel arrangements and interview agendas.
  • Assist new Faculty in transitioning to the Campus.
  • Work collaboratively and creatively with a solid team of new and seasoned staff.
  • Contribute to the success of MU faculty and students.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the Chairs with projects and event calendars.
  • Update the department website.
  • Communicate with Faculty to properly document their Promotion & Tenure submissions.
  • Manage and coordinate travel arrangements such as booking and purchasing flights, reserving car rentals, hotels, and conference registrations.
  • Schedule and coordinate virtual and in person meetings for Alumni and Faculty
  • Other administrative duties to support the departments of English and Language & Literature

Salary

Salary Range: $13.67-$18.77 per hour

GGS Grade: 006

University Title: OFFICE SUPPORT ASSISTANT IV

Shift

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
